Biography

Joseph J. Hine, MD is a graduate of the University Of Miami School Of Medicine.  He trained in internal medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and completed his fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine at MCW as well.  He is board certified in both pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine.

Dr. Hine accepted a faculty position at MCW and began practicing at Froedtert Hospital in 2005.  He specializes in the care of critically ill patients at both the bedside as well as in a telemedicine capacity in the Virtual ICU.  A virtual ICU is a central location that has nurses and physicians providing electronic monitoring of patients located in ICUs across multiple locations.  Providers monitor patients remotely in a Virtual ICU.  His primary interests include sepsis and ARDS as well as patients with asthma, COPD, and lung cancer.
