Loryjean Kostich joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical College of Wisconsin  in 2007.  She received her Master’s Degree in Nursing-Midwifery from Marquette University and her certification from the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) in 1998.

Loryjean is part of a multidisciplinary team of providers in the Maternal Fetal Care Center.  Working closely with the doctors, nursing staff, ultrasonagraphers, genetic counselors and social workers, she helps to coordinate and provide comprehensive care to women and families who face complex conditions that affect their pregnancies.  Conditions commonly seen in the High Risk OB Clinic include hypertension, diabetes, HIV, cardiac disease, sickle cell disease, kidney disease, blood disorders, multiple gestation, and a variety of fetal complications.

Loryjean’s goal is always to offer women a voice and a choice in their health care. She believes that given information and support, women will make the best decisions for themselves and their families. She enjoys working in partnership with women to address their physical, emotional and social needs. She especially enjoys getting to know women and their families and values the relationships that develop over time.
