Dr. Dhaval Patel is an endocrine surgeon with an expertise in thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal and neuroendocrine tumors and diseases. He received a bachelor's degree in science in biology and a bachelor's degree in arts in chemistry from Bucknell University. He completed his medical training at Drexel University College of Medicine and surgical residency at Stony Brook University. He went on to further specialize in endocrine oncology surgery at the National Institutes of Health as a fellow. He enjoys patient care and resident education. In addition, Dr. Patel conducts research to identify diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers for endocrine tumors, identify novel treatments for adrenal cancer, and clinical research to improve patient care. He is widely published in leading journals, and has presented his work at both national and international endocrine surgical and surgical conferences.
