Dr. Raaum is the Director of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) for the Medical College Physicians (MCP) practice where she has programmatic oversight and leadership accountabilities for over 250 APPs employed in the adult practice. Julie is the practice’s first director of APPs and her leadership interests include MD-APP collaborative practice models; identifying and measuring the value of care delivered by APPs, and enhancing environments of care and systems that promote top of license practice for APPs in an academic medical center. Julie has presented locally and nationally on APP-specific issues including credentialing and privileging, patient ratios and volumes, role delineation, workforce planning and APP compensation principles.

Julie concurrently maintains a clinical practice in infectious disease, providing care for a panel of HIV positive individuals.  She is an undergraduate alumnus of Alverno College and a graduate and clinical doctoral alumnus of the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee school of nursing.
