Dr. Rokkas’ clinical interests include adult cardiac surgery, particularly as it relates to developing and applying cutting-edge technology and minimally invasive surgical therapies.  He has also developed a focus in aortic surgery, which is leading to the development of a multi-disciplinary team for caring for patients with aortopathies of a congenital or acquired nature. Research interests include pathophysiology and genetics of aortic aneurysms as well as developing interventional techniques for effective treatment, taking into consideration protection of the central nervous system.
