Monica C. Ryan, MS, PA-C

Monica Ryan is a certified Physician Assistant with an undergraduate biology degree from the University of Notre Dame (2003) and a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from Mercy College (2012). She has a varied career history including time spent in environmental research and zoo keeping. She has been immersed in the science of medicine since 2008 when she began down the path to PA. After graduation from her Master’s program in the Bronx, NY, she worked for a private orthopaedic group in Spanish Harlem for nearly two years before joining the MCW family in the Department of Orthopaedics in 2014. There she has worked within the Orthopaedic Trauma Division, treating patients with both operative and non-operative fractures and injuries. She is also the Program Director for the Orthopaedic APP Fellowship, which is scheduled to induct its very first fellow in September of 2019.

When not at work, Monica enjoys anything outdoors and participates in these activities with her family, both within Wisconsin and abroad. She also takes advantage of the Milwaukee theatrical and cinematic scene, all the while staying ever dedicated to furthering scientific enthusiasm and knowledge by hosting a free, monthly science lecture series in Bay View.
