Dr. Ben Weston Named to Milwaukee Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 2021 Class
Ben Weston, MD, MPH, associate professor of emergency medicine and director of medical services of the Milwaukee County Office of Emergency Management, has been selected as a member of the Milwaukee Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 2021 class. Information on each winner was published in a special section of the March 26 Milwaukee Business Journal, and they will be honored at a virtual awards event on Monday, March 29.
The Milwaukee Business Journal’s annual 40 Under 40 awards recognize area individuals under age 40 who are making a difference in their industries as well as in their communities.
Dr. Weston is recognized for being a strong, data-driven, trustworthy and empathetic leader in the county-wide emergency response to the COVID-19 pandemic. As director of medical services for the Milwaukee County Office of Emergency Management and medical director for the Milwaukee County/City/Municipality COVID-19 Unified Emergency Operations Center (UEOC), Dr. Weston has prioritized transparency as the community works together to fight the pandemic. He has become the go-to expert for accurate and trustworthy health information in Milwaukee and beyond. Additionally, as a practicing emergency medicine physician at Froedtert Hospital, Dr. Weston maintains both a professional and practical approach to COVID emergency response, understanding the public health and healthcare needs at the individual patient, population and community levels.
