Dr. Gerald J. Harris Presents Named Lecture at UCLA Stein Eye Institute

Friday, March 6, Gerald J. Harris, MD, Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, Chief and Director, Orbital and Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery, gave the Jack Rootman Lectureship in Orbital Disease at the UCLA Orbital Center Master’s Symposium & Dissection Workshop at UCLA Stein Eye Institute.

Dr. Harris spoke on the second day of the course, which included didactic sessions covering modern understanding of orbital disease and advanced techniques for management. Dr. Harris’s topic for the Jack Rootman Lectureship was Cavernous Hemangioma of the Orbit: Topographical Implications for Management.

Dr. Harris has been a faculty member at the Eye Institute for over 42 years and has been the preceptor for 27 Orbital and Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery fellows.
