Dr. Kenneth Simons Re-elected Chair of Wisconsin Medical Examining Board
Kenneth B. Simons, MD, MCW senior associate dean for graduate medical education and accreditation, executive director and designated institutional official of MCWAH, Inc., and professor of ophthalmology and visual sciences and pathology, has been re-elected chairman of the State of Wisconsin Medical Examining Board. This is the seventh straight time Dr. Simons was elected to this position.
The Medical Examining Board credentials physicians, physician assistants, perfusionists, and respiratory care practitioners in Wisconsin. It also serves as a disciplinary body. The members of the board are appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Legislature to serve staggered four-year terms. The Board consists of nine licensed doctors of medicine, one licensed doctor of osteopathy, and three public members.
