Dr. Ryan D. Walsh Named One of America’s Best Eye Doctors by Newsweek
Ryan D. Walsh, MD, was named to Newsweek’s 2021 list of top 150 ophthalmologists. Newsweek also recognizes the top 150 optometrists as part of their “America’s Best Doctors 2021” list.
In partnership with global data research firm Statista, more than 10,000 ophthalmologists, optometrists, clinic managers and other health care professionals were surveyed to develop this list. The survey asked participants to rate the physicians based on the quality of care provided, the continuity of care and the quality of the technology used in practices.
Dr. Walsh is a board-certified neurologist who is fellowship-trained in neuro-ophthalmology. This subspecialty of both neurology and ophthalmology focuses on disorders of vision and eye movements related to the nervous system. Dr. Walsh earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He then completed a transitional year internship and a neurology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Following his residency, Dr. Walsh pursued subspecialty training, completing a neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Walsh joined the Departments of Ophthalmology and Neurology at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2012, and he strives to provide professional, compassionate, excellent care to each and every patient he serves. View the entire Newsweek list.
