MCW, Department of Surgery honored for support of employees who serve in military reserve
The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and MCW Department of Surgery were recently honored by ESGR (Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve), a Department of Defense program, for their support of employees in the military reserve.
MCW received the Seven Seals Award, which is presented at the discretion of senior ESGR leadership in recognition of significant organizational achievement and initiative in support of the men and women who serve America in the National Guard and Reserve.
The Department of Surgery received the Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award, the highest recognition given by the U.S. Government to employers for their support of employees who serve in the Guard and Reserve.
These honors were presented during the 2018 Wisconsin ESGR awards banquet on April 21 in Green Lake, WI. Greer Jordan, MBA, PhD, MCW chief diversity and inclusion officer, and Marc A. de Moya, MD, associate professor of surgery, chief of trauma and acute care surgery, and Milton and Lidy Lunda/Charles Aprahamian Professorship of Trauma Surgery, represented MCW.
