Patient offers Doctors’ Day tribute to Dr. Marcelo Pasquini
Dr. Marcelo Pasquini, associate professor of medicine in hematology and oncology who sees patients in the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center, was honored by the family of one of his patients as part of the National Doctors’ Day 2017 campaign. Lynn Strick submitted the comment.
“My family and I will never forget your kindness during Joe's treatment. We miss Joe terribly but are forever grateful to you for the extra time we had with him,” Lynn said. “We think of you often and pray you are well. Thank you for everything!”
Dr. Pasquini was touched by the recognition.
“As physicians, we often need to meet with patients and their families during difficult times, and it is nice to hear they appreciate the effort and the care we provide,” Dr. Pasquini said.
Dr. Pasquini received his MD from State University of Londrina in Londrina, Brazil. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, a fellowship in hematology/oncology at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, and a fellowship in blood and marrow transplantation at Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals, Inc.
In honor of National Doctors’ Day, which is celebrated March 30, the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) Office of Development and the Froedtert Hospital Foundation invite individuals to “Honor a Doctor” by donating to MCW or FHF in the name of a deserving physician. The physician your donation honors will receive a letter alerting him or her and their name will be listed on a special Doctors’ Day recognition page.
Lynn Strick’s contribution made her a partner in our work. With support from donors like Lynn, MCW researchers and clinicians are working together to deliver exceptional care enhanced by discovery. Please take this opportunity to honor a Medical College of Wisconsin physician who’s made a difference in your life.
