Patient offers Doctors' Day tribute to Dr. James Thomas
James P. Thomas MD, PhD, professor of Medicine (Hematology and Oncology), who sees patients at Froedtert Hospital and the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Clinical Cancer Center, was honored by Randy Gebauer, one of his patients.
“Words can't express my gratitude for saving my life,” said Randy in a note accompanying a donation from he and his wife, Wendy. “Thank you for all you have done for me and other patients in your care. You and your team ROCK! Happy Hunting!”
Dr. Thomas received his MD and PhD in biochemistry from the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), where he also completed a residency in internal medicine. He completed a fellowship in medical oncology at the University of Wisconsin. He joined the MCW faculty in 2010.
In honor of National Doctors’ Day, which is celebrated March 30, the MCW Office of Development and the Froedtert Hospital Foundation (FHF) invite individuals to “Honor a Doctor” by donating to MCW or FHF in the name of a deserving physician. Your gift will support discovery and health innovation that enhance our exceptional care. The physician will receive a letter alerting him or her and be publicly recognized on a special Doctors’ Day Web page.
Randy and Wendy’s contribution made them partners in our work. Please take this opportunity to honor a Medical College of Wisconsin physician who’s made a difference in your life.
