Patient offers Doctors' Day tribute to Dr. Kirk Ludwig
Kirk A. Ludwig, MD, Professor of Surgery, Chief of Colorectal Surgery, and the Vernon O. Underwood Professor in Colon Cancer Research, who sees patients at the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Clinical Cancer Center, was honored by Randy Gebauer, one of his patients.
“Thank you for saving my life,” said Randy in a note accompanying a donation from he and his wife, Wendy. “I'm eternally grateful to you. I appreciate all you have done for me and others in your care. Your professionalism and knowledge surpass all. You and your team are awesome!”
Dr. Ludwig received his MD from the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He completed an internship in surgery and a residency in general surgery at MCW and completed a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. He joined the MCW faculty in 2008.
In honor of National Doctors’ Day, which is celebrated March 30, the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) Office of Development and the Froedtert Hospital Foundation (FHF) invite individuals to “Honor a Doctor” by donating to MCW or FHF in the name of a deserving physician. Your gift will support discovery and health innovation that enhance our exceptional care. The physician will receive a letter alerting him or her and be publicly recognized on a special Doctors’ Day Web page.
Randy and Wendy’s contribution made them partners in our work. Please take this opportunity to honor a Medical College of Wisconsin physician who’s made a difference in your life.
