Successful Second Annual Cancer Crush

The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) successfully completed their 2nd annual Cancer Crush one mile and 5k walk/run. More than 1,750 community members, including patients, families, scientists, physicians and healthcare providers, participated in this event to raise more than $360k, with donations continuing to come in. These funds will be used to advance lifesaving cancer research at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Cancer Crush was held at MCW’s Milwaukee Campus. The event featured live music by the Five Card Studs, a performance by The Milwaukee Flyers, free family-friendly activities including bounce houses, balloon artists and face painting, and Milwaukee’s local food trucks.

In 2018, Cancer Crush was created to raise funds to support the most promising cancer research at the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Research Center and the most effective and supportive patient care throughout the Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin Health Network. With the support of the community, MCW scientists and physicians are continually searching for new ways to combat this devastating disease in all its forms and drive for improved patient outcomes.

Cancer touches everyone in our community and for many, the impact is devastating. Research cures cancer and together, we can all help science crush cancer! The fight against cancer continues and we still need your help! To donate, please visit today.
