Annual motorcycle ride to benefit Medical College of Wisconsin's Cardiovascular Center
Milwaukee, June 5, 2018 – On Saturday, June 9, motorcyclists will raise their kickstands and ride 70 miles through the scenic countryside and hills of Southeastern Wisconsin to benefit the Medical College of Wisconsin's (MCW) Cardiovascular Center (CVC), a nationally recognized leader in research. The 10th annual trek will begin and end at Suburban Motors Harley-Davidson, 139 N. Main St. in Thiensville.
Sponsoring this year's Have a Heart Motorcycle ride are Suburban Motors Harley-Davidson, the Suburban Milwaukee HOG chapter and Gruber Law.
In the past, funds raised by the ride have supported seed funding for CVC research seeking to prevent and improve treatment options for heart disease, stroke, diabetes and high blood pressure, among other ailments. The event has also helped support a machine shop at MCW's CVC, which serves as a cost-saving source of customized medical and lab equipment and a valuable resource for researchers and doctors.
Registration before June 7 is $25 for one bike and one rider and $45 for one bike and two riders and includes a light breakfast, lunch and commemorative ride pin. After June 7, the registration price increases by $10. Following the ride there will be live music, raffles, and an auction.
To register, visit the Have a Heart Motorcycle Ridge web page or contact Natalie Strade at firstname.lastname@example.org or (414) 955-5824.
