Ashley Hines Honored with United Way 2020 Emerging Leaders Philanthropic Five Award
Aug. 11, 2020 – Ashley Hines, Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) diversity and inclusion manager was honored with a United Way 2020 Emerging Leaders Philanthropic Five (P5) Award. Hines has been recognized as a community leader who gives, advocates and volunteers for change.
With nearly a decade of comprehensive experience at MCW, Hines builds and implements institutional inclusion initiatives, informs the organizational brand strategy, manages system-wide goals, influences senior leaders through reciprocal mentorship and, most recently, has been a lead for MCW’s COVID-19 communications with the community.
“Ashley Hines embodies inclusive leadership and excellence in all that she does at MCW and in the community,” said Greer Jordan, PhD, Vice President for Inclusion and Diversity and assistant professor in the Institute for Health and Equity. “Ashley’s years of service in our community make the Milwaukee region a better place to live for everyone. I congratulate her on this well-deserved award.”
Hines earned her bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies-child development from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She has received several distinctions, including the 2015 MCW President’s Award for Diversity and Inclusion and 2017 Milwaukee Business Journal 40 under 40 Award.
