MCW’s Community Health Assessment & Planning certificate program provides you with the training to confidently assess, improve, and monitor the health of various populations. All credits earned in this program are applicable to the Master of Public Health degree program within one year of earning your certificate.
MCW’s Population Health Management certificate program prepares you to apply the concept of the Quadruple Aim (Bodenheimer, 2014): improved population health outcomes, improved patient and provider experiences, and reduced per-person costs. The Public & Community Health PhD program at MCW, the first of its kind in Wisconsin, provides you with advanced public health training that creates opportunities for original, independent research that focuses on relevant public health issues. Our innovative curriculum features essential components of public health and community health improvement through participation and partnership.
MCW’s Master of Public Health degree is a flexible, online program, designed for busy professionals like you looking to take your current career in public health to the next level. In fact, most of our students have full-time careers outside of their coursework. The program curriculum, which can be completed either full- or part-time, involve a combination of core, concentration-specific and elective courses, field experience, and a capstone project.
MCW’s certificate program in public health is ideal if you are interested in pursuing or further developing your career in public health, and looking to make a meaningful contribution in the field. Required coursework, completed online, will expose you to each of the five major disciplines of public health: environmental health, public health, administration, biostatistics, behavioral science, and public health, and epidemiology. Additionally, all credits you earn in the program are applicable to the Master of Public Health degree program within one year of earning your certificate.
