Welcome to the Division of Hematology and Oncology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Our talented faculty and staff combine humane, patient-centered care with the academic pursuit of better cancer therapies giving new hope to patients and families. The Division provides expertise in all aspects of medical oncology including treatment of solid tumors, hematologic (blood) cancers and bone marrow transplantation. We also provide exceptional care for non-cancerous blood diseases, including bleeding and clotting disorders. Finally, our Palliative Care Service provides expert consultation in quality of life issues for all patients facing serious illness as well as end of life care. Read more...

MCW Division of Hematology and Oncology physicians and practitioners primarily see patients at the Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin Clinical Cancer Center and at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center. Faculty members also see patients in collaboration with Medical College of Wisconsin oncologists at Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Network locations: Froedtert Health Community Memorial Hospital’s Cancer Care Center in Menomonee Falls and Froedtert Health St Joseph’s Hospital’s Kraemer Cancer Center in West Bend.

Polar Bear Plunge Honoring Former Froedtert Employee Supports Cancer Research

Mar. 24 - Ellen’s Icebreaker for Cancer Research, honoring the memory of Froedtert Hospital employee Ellen Smith, who died of gastric cancer, was held on Saturday, March 14. The polar bear plunge in Nagawicka Lake in Hartland supports cancer research at MCW. Biz Times

2015 Science Café Series to Focus on Health Disparities in Overall Health Outcomes

Mar. 11 - The Clinical and Translational Science Institute of Southeast Wisconsin (CTSI) announced programs for its 2015 Science Café series. Dr. Syed Ahmed (Senior Associate Dean for Community Engagement) said that the theme of the 2015 series is “Focus on Health Disparities in Overall Health Outcomes.” On May 12, Melinda Stolley, PhD, (Cancer Center) will discuss programs being developed to help underserved cancer survivor populations make important lifestyle changes.
