MCW Philanthropy News

Dalums support research, student experiences

April 26 - Philanthropy, prayer and pleasant happen-stance are deeply rooted in the sunken rose garden at the lake home of Tom and Maripat Dalum in Hartland, Wisconsin. It is there the Dalums, longtime supporters of the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), have continued to nurture their mutual philosophy of giving back by offering the use of their garden for charitable events.

Attention all motorcycle riders!

April 13 - You are invited to participate on a Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin team for the Have a Heart Motorcycle Ride on Saturday, June 10, to benefit the Cardiovascular Center (CVC). The team will gather in the MCW parking lot at 9:30 a.m. and ride together with CVC Board member Danny Muchin to the start line at Suburban Motors Harley-Davidson in Thiensville. All motorcycle brands are welcome!

Join our team for the Ann’s Hope Foundation’s annual Block Melanoma 5k Run/ 3k Walk

April 11 - Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Network is a proud sponsor of the annual Block Melanoma 5k Run/3k Walk on Sunday, May 21. The Froedtert & MCW team will be there, and we invite all interested staff and students to join us. It’s a great way to have fun, get those steps in and raise awareness about melanoma.

Patient honors Dr. Karen Blindauer for Doctors’ Day

March 28 - Parkinson’s disease expert Karen A. Blindauer, MD, professor of neurology, chief of adult neurology and director of the Movement Disorders Program at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin, was honored by several patients as part of the 2016 National Doctors’ Day campaign for the care she provided them. One of the patients was Emma Hein of Cedarburg, who had amazing things to say about her experience.
