Patient honors Dr. Karen Blindauer for Doctors’ Day

March 28 - Parkinson’s disease expert Karen A. Blindauer, MD, professor of neurology, chief of adult neurology and director of the Movement Disorders Program at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin, was honored by several patients as part of the 2016 National Doctors’ Day campaign for the care she provided them. One of the patients was Emma Hein of Cedarburg, who had amazing things to say about her experience.

WBCS seeks volunteers for Showhouse

March 28 - WBCS, Inc. is inviting individuals—men, women and young people—to contribute their time and talents to help support its mission to advance early-stage breast cancer and prostate cancer research. The organization currently is seeking docents for the 2017 WBCS Showhouse for a Cure. There is an urgent need to fill the following shifts: Friday night June 16, from 4 - 7 p.m., and Saturday, June 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 1 - 4 p.m.

Wearable Art Show in Cedarburg to benefit MCW breast cancer research

March 27 - The annual Wearable Art Show Weekend, organized by the Cedarburg Junior Woman's Club, will be held March 31 and April 1 at the Cedarburg Cultural Center. Proceeds benefit breast cancer education, prevention, research and treatment. To date, this organization has donated nearly $30,000 for breast cancer research and patient programs at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center.
