As a volunteer clinical preceptor for this course, you would supervise students as they explore the provision of patient care in an office setting each week for a half-day. As a preceptor, you would provide opportunities for students to practice history and basic exam skills during their clinical experiences. All volunteers will receive an Volunteer Assistant Clinical Professor appointment at MCW.
Time Commitment and Availability
This is a one-year volunteer commitment that runs August - May. Preceptors are encouraged to participate annually.
Faculty Expectations
- Apply for Volunteer Assistant Clinical Professor appointment
- Facilitate direct patient care experience with progressive independence (not just shadowing for a year)
- Provide feedback on student performance
- Complete periodic student performance assessments
