Judy Marchant, OTR/CEASJudy Marchant, OTR/CEAS

Judy is an Occupational Therapist (OTR) licensed in Wisconsin. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from Mount Mary College. As an Occupational Therapist, she has specialized in workplace ergonomics and work reconditioning program for the past 25 years.

In 1998, Judy completed her studies as a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist (CEAS) and routinely educates clients with proper ergonomics are essential to their health and recovery. She completes specialized evaluations including Functional Capacity Evaluation, Prosthetic Training and On-Site Ergonomic Evaluations. Judy is currently the manager at The Hand Center.

Judy continues to educate residents and fellows through lectures and in-services for the PM&R program as well as the Hand Surgery Program at Medical College of Wisconsin. Judy enjoys sharing her knowledge with the Occupational Therapy students at the college level. She continue to lecture annually on Physical Agent Modalities as well as Introduction to Hand Therapy.

Additionally, Judy is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and the Wisconsin Occupational Therapy Association (WOTA) and their respective Work Program Special Interest Sections.

Mary Fischer, OTR, CHT, LMTMary Fischer, OTR, CHT, LMT

Mary graduated from Mount Mary in 1998 with a BS Degree in Occupational Therapy. She obtained her Certified Hand Therapy (CHT) credentials in 1994 and has worked in outpatient hand clinic throughout the Milwaukee area treating a variety of injuries including shoulders and elbows, as well as hands. In 1999, Mary returned to study massage therapy and is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT). She has been a massage therapist for 14 years and has incorporated some of her holistic training in the treatment of her patients at the Hand Center. When she is not work, Mary enjoys reading, gardening and spending time with her family and friends.

Kim GrisetoKim Griseto, OTR

Kim received her Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and Psychology from Cornell College in 2012, followed by her Master of Occupational Therapy from Concordia University Wisconsin in 2016. Between completing her Bachelor's degree and beginning the pursuit of her Master's degree, Kim worked as a Rehabilitation Aide at an outpatient Occupational and Physical Therapy clinic in Des Plaines, IL. It was there that she realized her passion for Occupational Therapy – specifically rehabilitation of the hand and upper extremity. From that point on, she committed herself to obtaining as much knowledge and hands-on experience possible in that setting. Kim completed her clinical placements in Inpatient Rehab and Outpatient Rehab through Concordia University Wisconsin. Upon graduating with her Master's, Kim began working at The Hand Center at The Medical College of Wisconsin in December 2016. She works closely with the surgeons in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department providing post-operative care and conservative management of various upper extremity injuries and conditions. Kim is now beginning to prepare to take the Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) examination when eligible. In her spare time outside of The Hand Center, Kim enjoys participating in outdoor activities, sports, and traveling.

Suzanne Marchant, BS, OTR, CHTSuzanne Marchant, BS, OTR, CHT

Suzanne graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in secondary education and from Western Michigan University with an Occupational Therapy degree. She has worked as a certified hand therapist in both orthopedic and plastic surgery hand clinics treating patients of all ages, from infants to seniors, with a variety of upper extremity diagnoses. Her interests include orthosis fabrication and developing creative treatment programs to meet each individual's special needs. In addition to working for The Hand Center at the Medical College of Wisconsin, she is an adjunct instructor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where she co-teaches the Upper Extremity Evaluation and Treatment for Hand Therapy class. She has presented on multiple topics related to evaluation and treatment of the hand. Suzanne is also a mixed media artist.

Jaime PalomoJaime Palomo

Jamie is a Patient Relations Representative has been with the Hand Center since December 2007. Jamie provides support to the doctors, therapists, appointment services and COTA’s in the Hand Center. Jamie enjoys working with and getting to know that patients in the Hand Center. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family, her dogs, gardening and spending time in the outdoors.

Sue PetroviakSue Petroviak

Sue is a Patient Relations Representative who started working for The Medical College of Wisconsin Hand Center in 2008. Sue provides support for the doctors, therapists and COTA’s to enhance patient care. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, basket weaving and outdoor activities.

Diana Rawson, NPDiana Rawson, NP

Diana is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Prior to joining the Medical College of Wisconsin, Plastic Surgery Department-The Hand Center she worked as a nurse practitioner in pain management. She also worked in the operating room and on a medical/surgical unit as a registered nurse. She is a member of the Wisconsin Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association. In her spare time, Diana enjoys spending time with her family, kickboxing, reading, and traveling.

Nancella Roeglin, COTANancella Roeglin, COTA

Nancella Roeglin completed her clinical training for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the work hardening area at the Froedtert Hand Center. She has been working at the Hand Center for 5+years. Nan works closely with the physicians during clinics bringing a therapeutic perspective to the patients care. Nan’s patient treatment include patient care in the work hardening program to assist patients regain function and increase their confidence in the ability to succeed after an injury. She enjoys being creative in simulating many different work and home activities. Prior to working at the Hand Center, Nan worked with traumatic brain injured clients in a Day Program. She directed staff with completion of therapy, home exercise programs and day to day programming.

Wendy Schmidt, OTR/L, CHTWendy Schmidt, OTR/L, CHT

Wendy received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2004. When in school, she first realized her interest in rehabilitation of traumatic hand injuries, and knew she wanted to pursue a career in hand therapy. She worked in Inpatient Rehab and Acute Care in Phoenix, AZ and in Elkhorn, WI for the first 2 years out of college. She then was given the opportunity to transition into an Outpatient setting in 2006, where she provided conservative management and post-surgical rehabilitation to patients with a variety of upper extremity injuries. She moved to Madison, WI from 2008-2010 to work for an upper extremity therapy clinic and to study diligently to take the Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) examination. She became a CHT in May 2010 and started working for The Hand Center at The Medical College of Wisconsin in June 2010.

Providing rehabilitation of any traumatic hand injury is Wendy’s true passion. She especially enjoys providing wound care, manual therapy, and fabricating custom splints. Furthermore, she enjoys seeing her patients improve their hand function and independence after devastating injuries.

When not working, Wendy enjoys spending time with her husband, fitness, traveling, sketching, and baking.

Tina Sowinski, OTR, CHTTina Sowinski, OTR, CHT

Tina graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy in 2003. She has been working in outpatient hand therapy since 2005. Tina joined the Medical College of Wisconsin, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department’s Hand Center team in 2011. he attained her Certification in Hand Therapy (CHT) in November 2012. Tina has pursued continuing education coursework in lymphedema management, upper extremity orthopedics, splinting, and arthritis and flexor/extensor tendon management. Outside of the clinic Tina enjoys spending time with her family, biking and beach days.

Amy VallejoAmy Vallejo

Amy graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2000 with a degree in Psychology and Occupational Therapy. She earned her Hand Certification (CHT) in 2007. Amy’s extensive training includes upper extremity ergonomics, splinting and hand trauma. She works closely with the surgeons in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department providing quality care and treatment for patients with upper extremity conditions. Continuing education courses focus on manual therapy to enhance her clinical skills. Some of Amy’s special interests area include sport-related injuries. Away from the clinic, Amy enjoys spending time with her family and participating in sport activities.

Abby Wilson, COTAAbby Wilson, COTA

Abby is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant-COTA that graduated from Milwaukee Area Technical College in 2008 with honors. Started working at The Medical College of Wisconsin Hand Center in August 2008. Abby specializes in the Work Hardening program at The Hand Center focusing on maximizing function for work and daily tasks. As a COTA Abby also assists all physicians in the clinic setting to help advocate occupational therapy needs for the patients. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, cheering on the Vikings and outdoor recreational activities.
