Biography

I graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 2019, where I received a BA in Biology and a BA in English. My studies centered primarily on medical anthropology and global health, with a particular focus on access to contraceptives in sub-Saharan Africa through a collaboration with Makerere University.

Following graduation, I joined the lab of Dr. Ofer Reizes at the Lerner Research Institute in the Cleveland Clinic. While there, I assisted in a number of research projects involving animal models of gynecological cancers and triple-negative breast cancer. These projects included patient-derived xenograft generation and therapeutic peptide treatment development, as well as investigations into the effects of various conditions on the gut microbiome.

I joined the Drobyski lab in late 2023. Here, I am assisting research studies that use animal models of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD). These studies seek to unravel the immunological origins of neurotoxic inflammation in GVHD. Insights from this research may lead to improved treatments and reduced risk for patients receiving bone marrow transplants, with the potential for applications to other diseases stemming from the immune system.
