Clinical and basic science research is ongoing in all of the scientific disciplines within the field of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery. Many of the research programs are sponsored through the National Institute of Health as well as through industry support.

Research Training Programs
The MCW Department of Otolaryngology and Communication Sciences trains academic surgeon-scientists through 2 NIH-funded R25 research education programs: MORE-Oto, for medical students and MCW otolaryngology residents, and ASCENT-Oto, for post-training investigators and early-career faculty.
