New & Established Patients Call

Pleasant Valley Health Center

I joined the Medical College of Wisconsin with a goal to serve the diverse community bringing the cutting edge research to clinical practice through clinical trials and translational science. My clinical interests include cardiovascular prevention, women's health, heritable lipid disorders, aortopathies as well as Echocardiography. My research program is on the intersection of genetics, informatics, and imaging, focusing on vascular aging using epigenetic algorithms and approaches enabling a new level of multiomics research with the mission of building healthier lives, free of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. I am passionate about personalized prevention. I believe that each individual deserves to receive exceptional care and there is a need for a new perspective in assessing cardiovascular risk in clinical practice tailored to each individual patient accounting for gender, race and ethnicity, the probability of disease progression, in other words, each individual genetic make-up.

Biography

I graduated with honors from the First Moscow State Medical University, and further continued with a PhD in Cardiology and Biochemistry focusing on lipoprotein(a) and various treatment modalities for heritable lipid disorders, including lipoprotein apheresis, at the National Medical Research Center. To acquire expertise in genetic epidemiology and clinical informatics I did my postdoctoral training in Cardiovascular Genomics at Mayo Clinic in Rochester developing tools and implementing innovative systems for discovery with a specific focus on patients with familial hypercholesterolemia and early vascular disease. My further training included internal medicine residency at the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School - Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center and Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center where I served as a chief fellow.
