Company Based on Dr. Shaker’s Technology Wins BizTimes Innovation Quotient Award

May 27 - Somna Therapeutics LLC was awarded the Milwaukee BizTimes Innovation Quotient Award. Somna Therapeutics is based on the Reza Band, a technology developed by Dr. Reza Shaker (Medicine – Gastroenterology & Hepatology; Senior Associate Dean for Clinical and Translational Research). Biz Times

Dr. Kulwinder Dua appointed ASGE Consultant Expert

Apr. 29 - Kulwinder S. Dua, MD, professor of medicine (gastroenterology) and pediatrics, gastroenterology section chief at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, and director of the MCW Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship Program, was selected by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) as an the ASGE Consultant Expert.

FDA Approves the Reza Band System Developed by Dr. Shaker

Mar. 23 - The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the Reza Band System, developed by Dr. Reza Shaker to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease.
