Center for Patient Care and Outcomes Research (PCOR)


The Center for Patient Care and Outcomes Research came into existence in January 2001.  The Center is an interdisciplinary group of health services researchers collaborating in a diverse array of subject areas.  The purposes of the Center are to conduct research on patient care services and related health outcomes, to facilitate a supportive environment for MCW investigators new to this area, to determine the need for and recruit new faculty in targeted methodologic areas, and to sponsor a health services research seminar series as a forum for the exchange of ideas.

  Mission: To conduct cutting edge research on the provision of effective and efficient patient care services and on related health outcomes.
Purpose: The MCW Center for Patient Care and Outcomes Research conducts research on patient care services and related health outcomes, facilitates a supportive environment for MCW investigators developing externally funded research programs, determines the need for and recruits new faculty in targeted methodologic areas, and provides a seminar series to enhance collaboration.
