Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin

Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin is an endowment of the Medical College of Wisconsin committed to improving the health of Wisconsin residents.

Community Partnerships

Partnership serves as the cornerstone of public and community health at MCW. Principles that guide our partnerships include Developing common goals, Building trust and respect, Emphasizing strengths and assets, Open communication and feedback, Flexibility, mutual benefit and shared resources.

Healthier Wisc Partnership Program

In 1999 Blue Cross & Blue Shield United of Wisconsin became a for profit stock corporation, transferring 100 percent of its value to a new public health foundation, split equally between the University of Wisconsin Medical School and the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Institute for Health and Society

The Institute serves as the academic home for several successful existing programs of the College, including the Center for Bioethics and Medical Humanities, the division of Biostatistics, the Healthier Wisconsin Partnership Program, and the Violence Prevention Initiative.

Degree Granting Programs

The Medical College of Wisconsin is dedicated to leadership and excellence in advancing Education and the preparing of physicians and scientists of tomorrow while enhancing the skills of today's health professionals.
