Innovative 3-Year Doctor of Pharmacy Program

The Medical College of Wisconsin's three-year Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program is one of few accelerated curricula in the country.

MCW is part of an academic medical center, connected via skywalks to level I trauma centers Froedtert Hospital and Children's Wisconsin.

Through weekly clinical rotations, you will gain early and extensive exposure to a variety of clinical settings and world-class research experiences.

Our Student Affairs team will walk you through the PharmD application process and outline the resources available to support applicants. They’ll also share the admissions selection criteria, important dates, plus tips for the application and interview process.

$1,000 Attendance Scholarship – Pharmacy Discovery Day (Saturday, October 24)

This on-campus event includes MCW’s 3-year PharmD curriculum overview, Q&A with current students, campus tours, interactive compounding experience and more. Attendees who submit their application for the 2027-2028 school year are eligible to receive a $1,000 scholarship.

Our accelerated three-year Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program provides students with early access to clinical experiences, hands-on training in advanced practice skills such as physical assessment and interprofessional education experiences with a variety of other healthcare professionals and students. During clinical rotations at Children’s Wisconsin, pharmacy students gain experience performing calculations for body weight or body surface area dosing, assist with total parenteral nutrition and more.

Pharmacy students gain experience in the VA’s unique practice setting, where pharmacists have a scope of practice allowing them to independently prescribe medications.
