The Department of Anesthesiology's mission is threefold:
Delivery of anesthesia for adults and children at six different institutions sets the standard of care in southeastern Wisconsin. This also creates an educational environment for housestaff and medical students that utilizes a variety of learning activities. Read more
Matthias L. Riess, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Physiology, was named the first recipient of the Roizen Anesthesia Research Foundation New Investigator grant.
Paul S. Pagel, MD, PhD, Professor of Anesthesiology, has been appointed to the editorial board of Anesthesia and Analgesia for a three-year term.
Quinn H. Hogan, MD, Professor of Anesthesiology, has received the Gaston Labat Award from the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine.
