Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Surgery
Welcome to the Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Surgery. I am honored to lead a department with a proud history, exceptional people, and a deep commitment to improving the lives of patients and families throughout Wisconsin and beyond.
Our mission brings together excellence in patient care, education, research and innovation, and community engagement. Across our adult and pediatric programs, we are committed to delivering safe, compassionate, accessible, and highly coordinated surgical care while continually working to improve outcomes. We will educate and mentor the next generation, invest in the growth of our faculty and staff, and translate discovery and innovation into better care for the patients of today and tomorrow.
Our people are the foundation of everything we do. We aspire to be a department defined by integrity, respect, curiosity, collaboration, caring, and open communication: a place where every member of our team can contribute, grow, and thrive.
Whether you are a patient, learner, colleague, alumnus, community partner, researcher, or supporter, you are welcome here. I invite you to meet our people, explore our programs, and join us as we build on our strong foundation and shape the next chapter of surgery at MCW.
