Patient Care Emphases

As Vascular & Interventional Radiologists, we use imaging guidance (MRI, CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and x-ray) to perform minimally invasive procedures to treat a variety of diseases and conditions.  These procedures are minimally invasive because they are performed through a needle stick made in the skin. We use small catheters or tubes placed into the blood vessels or internal organs.  Since these procedures can be performed without large surgical incisions, there is a significantly reduced risk of complication and faster recovery times.  Below are Dr. Hieb’s areas of patient care emphases:

  • Aortic Aneurysms and Endoleak Repair
  • Carotid Disease
  • Peripheral Vascular Disease
  • Renovascular Disease
  • Chemoembolization & Radioembolization of Liver Tumors
  • Uterine Fibroids
  • Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt Placement (TIPS)
  • Minimally Invasive Treatment of Hepatobiliary Disease
  • Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT)
