Biography
Andy Perez is a PGY-3 Integrated Interventional Radiology Resident at MCW. He received his bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from Brigham Young University, and his MD from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. During medical school, he received the Medical Student Certificate in Biomedical Ethics and participated in the Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics, an intensive ethics program which discussions centered around the perpetrators of the Holocaust as a springboard to examine modern professional ethics. Since starting residency, he has continued his involvement in ethics by pursuing a master’s degree in Biomedical Ethics through MCW and currently sits on the Froedtert and MCW Ethics Committee. He is also a leading member of the Applied Ethics in Interventional Radiology Initiative, a multi-institutional collaboration dedicated to developing resources for navigating challenging ethical issues in interventional radiology.
