Biography
Jakob T. Alden is a first-year medical student at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He received his bachelors in Neuroscience and Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. In Madison, he conducted research in an evolution and developmental biology lab under Prashant Sharma, PhD and co-authored a manuscript included in the collection Reading Across the Disciplines with Angela Zito, PhD.
He is currently pursuing his interest in medical ethics through the Bioethics and Medical Humanities pathway under the guidance of Ahmed Obeidat, MD, PhD, and is working in the Kern Institute’s Philosophies of Medical Education Transformation Laboratory (P-METal) with mentorship from Fabrice Jotterand, PhD. Outside of class, Jakob volunteers as a student doctor at the Saturday Clinic for the Uninsured in Milwaukee.
