By partnering with all of the Kern Institute Pillars, as well as an array of departments throughout the MCW health system, Dr. Decker leads groups through innovation using human centered design methodology and the tenets of the entrepreneurial mindset. He developed and leads the annual Kern Institute Transformational Ideas Initiative, which advances ideas put forth by students, faculty and staff to transform medical education through the Triple Aim of Medical Education: Character, Competence and Caring. He is also the Chief Transformation Officer of the Medical College Physicians, where he works with leaders at all levels to develop problem solving skills (process improvement, change management, leadership behaviors) and to think innovatively.
