Community & Institutional Engagement Pillar Initiatives
Grand Rounds
The Kern Institute Cross Pillar diligently works throughout the year to research and recruit world leaders in medical education to present Kern Grand Rounds at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Kern Connection Cafe Presentations
The Kern Institute Cross Pillar hosts informal gatherings at MCW every other month throughout the academic year to spark conversation on topics related to the Triple Aim of Medical Education: Character, Competence, and Caring.
Well-Being Summit
Led by Chris Davis, MD
The Kern Institute Community & Institutional Engagement Pillar leads the effort to convene regular Well-Being Summits, bringing together thought leadership from throughout the MCW Health System to share best practices and move forward in promoting well-being as a collaborative effort.
Student Ambassadors
We are fortunate to partner with several MCW medical school students who serve as liaisons between the Kern Institute and the student body, as well as advising us on student needs and interests.
