Biography
John Burfeind, MD, is a staff physician at the Medical College of Wisconsin Division of Hematology and Oncology, specializing in genitourinary oncology (prostate cancer, testicular cancer, bladder cancer, and kidney cancer), as well as breast cancer. He practices at the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center, as well as the Cancer Center at St. Joseph Hospital in West Bend, Wisconsin. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Medical School in 1993, and subsequently completed a residency in internal medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed his fellowship in hematology/oncology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Burfeind is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. He was the director of the oncology rotation at Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, Oregon, and was awarded the Teacher of the Year Award for the year 2002.
Research Interests
Dr. Burfeind's research interests include genitourinary malignancies, particularly prostate cancer.
