Biography

Dr. Deepa Pawar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine. Dr. Pawar earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. She did her internship at the University of Rochester in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and then completed a General Preventive Medicine Residency and Master of Public Health degree at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She returned to the Medical College of Wisconsin to complete her residency in Psychiatry, followed by a fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. Dr. Pawar is board certified in adult psychiatry, consultation-liaison psychiatry, and general preventive medicine. Clinically, Dr. Pawar works on the psychiatry consult service at Froedtert Hospital, works in collaborative care in the primary care setting, and conducts provider-to-provider teleconsultation services. In these roles, she supervises and teaches fellows, residents, and students.
