Biography

Jeffrey M. Washelesky, PsyD, is a licensed psychologist who specialized in clinical forensic psychology. He earned his doctoral degree from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2018. He completed competency and insanity evaluations during his APA-accredited predoctoral internship at Oregon State Hospital, and competency, insanity, capacity to conform behavior, and sexually violent predator evaluations during his postdoctoral fellowship in forensic psychology at the South Carolina Department of Mental Health – Forensic Evaluation Service. Dr. Washelesky has been licensed since 2019 and is currently employed as the psychologist on one of MMHI’s maximum-security admission units. His role includes competency to proceed to trial evaluations, competency restoration, psychological assessment, forensic assessment, consultation, and supervision of psychology interns, psychology fellows, and psychiatry fellows. His clinical and research interests include forensic evaluation, violence risk assessments, sexual violence risk assessments, psychopathy, bias in forensic evaluations and decision making, and malingering.
