Annika Swenson is an Executive Director of Medical Science Liaisons at a large pharmaceutical company focusing on oncology drug development and medical affairs. Her career in clinical research began in 2005 at the Medical College of Wisconsin when she worked on Bone Marrow Transplant clinical trials at both Froedtert Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. She pursued her MPH at MCW while she began working on the sponsor side with her current employer. Annika has over 15 years of oncology clinical research experience, from Phase I-III clinical drug development including the support of nearly 20 oncology drug approvals and indications. Outside of work, Annika serves on the Steering Committee for the Wisconsin Cancer Collaborative. She cares deeply about the equitable access to cancer care and treatments. She also volunteers as a TED Curiosity Circle host following her TEDx talk in July 2020. Annika was born and raised in rural Wisconsin, and continues to reside in rural Southwest Wisconsin with her husband and three young children.
