Kersten specializes in translational medicine and real-world evidence (RWE) in pharmaceutical research and is passionate about ethically appropriate communications in evidence-based medicine. Kersten previously worked in the medical device industry and partnered closely with hospitals to implement quality improvement initiatives for hospital-acquired infection prevention. Kersten is committed to the field of public health, especially vision health equity and preventing blindness. In her spare time, she spends time with her 2 grown daughters and family and travels as much as possible.
