Lisa Sanders is currently a research project manager at the Statistical and Data Management Center at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, Washington. Her work at Fred Hutch focuses on HIV-1 and COVID-19 clinical trial immunological assays. Her previous work was in public health microbiology at the state and county levels on the U.S. West Coast. She holds an MS degree in microbiology and environmental toxicology from U.C. Santa Cruz and a copyediting certificate from U.C. San Diego, and she is an American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP)-licensed technologist in microbiology. Lisa’s background informs her primary public health interests in improving infectious disease public health communications by reducing stigma and increasing accessibility.
