Research Interests
My main research interests lie in the fields of disease pathology, immunology, pathogenesis, and the points at which they converge. Previously, I have evaluated the function of small homeostatic proteins in E. coli, as well as the effects NSAIDS have on metabolic inflammation and the development of obesity. Currently my project aims to understand how the tumor immune microenvironment is remodeled upon treatment with mitochondria-targeted inhibitors of oxidative phosphorylation and the consequent changes in immune cell activation that follows in the context of pancreatic cancer.
