Radiation Oncology Faculty Inventors are Featured in the MCW Office of Technology Development Newsletter

Dr. William Hall and Dr. Eric Paulson are featured inventors in the March 2024 MCW Office of Technology (OTD) Development Newsletter.

Drs. Paulson and Hall have worked with OTD since 2005 and 2022, respectively. Recently, they have jointly invented a system that measures internal organs using ultrasound-based technology. The output from the system, displayed on a smart phone, will help predict the optimal time that the patients should be given radiation treatment. The goal is to improve clinical throughput, patient satisfaction, and reduce the number of scans needed to confirm normal organ position. The intellectual property covering this system has recently been licensed to a Milwaukee-based startup company, Sonoptima.
