Dr. Stohs received his BS in Biology from Valparaiso University. He earned an MD from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2012. He completed his general psychiatry residency training and addiction psychiatry fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
Dr. Stohs joined the faculty of Medical College of Wisconsin in July of 2017. He provides clinical services in at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, Tosa Center, and Froedtert transplant clinic.
Dr. Stohs is board certified in general psychiatry. His primary clinical interest is treating substance use disorders in young adults, veterans, and healthcare professionals. His other clinical interests include integrating psychiatric care into primary care settings and multidisciplinary chronic pain rehabilitation. His research is focused on identifying ways to improve clinical outcomes in substance use disorder treatment.
