Celebrating a Century of Alumni Impact: 100 for 100 Campaign Wrap-Up

Launched in honor of the Alumni Association’s 100th anniversary, the 100 for 100 campaign invited alumni to make a gift to support the MCW Marquette Medical Alumni Association Scholarship Fund – reinforcing a tradition of alumni generosity that spans generations. The campaign marked a milestone moment that rallied alumni to further support students at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

That call to action resonated strongly. Through 100 for 100, 107 alumni stepped forward to give, contributing a total of $38,444.50 in support of student scholarships. As a result of this generosity, at least 15 students will benefit – easing financial pressures and reinforcing the impact alumni can have when they come together.

“100 for 100 showed what’s possible when alumni come together around a shared purpose,” says Anthony Perez, executive director of the Alumni Association. “Their generosity directly supports students today while honoring the values that have defined our alumni community for generations.”

Proceeds from the campaign support the MCW Marquette Medical Alumni Association Scholarship Fund, a tangible way alumni help reduce financial barriers for MCW students across academic programs. Established in 2010, the fund awards two $2,500 scholarships each year, providing meaningful support to students as they progress through rigorous education and training programs.

Since 2016, at least eight students have benefited from the scholarship fund, with some receiving support more than once. This sustained giving highlights the lasting role alumni play in supporting students throughout their educational journeys.

“This campaign was about more than marking a milestone,” Perez adds. “It was about alumni reaffirming a shared commitment to today’s students. Every gift helps ease financial pressures and reminds students that they are part of a community that believes in them.”
