Biography

Chris Dodgion, MD, MSPH, MBA is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Trauma/Critical Care.  Dr. Dodgion earned his Medical, Public Health and Business Degrees from the University of Utah. He completed his General Surgery Residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics.  During his residency, he spent 2 years in a health services research fellowship at The Center for Surgery and Public Health at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.  He completed a Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University.

Research Interests

Dr. Dodgion’s research focuses on improving the clinical outcomes of trauma and acute care surgery patients, with particular focus in thoracic trauma management, readmission patterns and process measures, trauma quality improvement programs, and perioperative morbidity and mortality associated with acute care and trauma surgical intervention.
