Biography
Hello! My name is Casey Krasowski, and I am from Minnetrista, Minnesota. I graduated from the College of Saint Benedict in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Hispanic Studies. During my undergraduate studies, I developed a strong interest in genetics and patient-centered healthcare, which ultimately led me to pursue a career in genetic counseling. After graduation, I further explored my interest by completing a certificate in Precision Medicine through the University of Florida.
Since college, I have worked at Children’s Minnesota as a clinical assistant in the Pediatric Genetics Department. In this role, I supported patients, families, genetic counselors, and clinical geneticists. I also contributed to clinical research at Allina Health Cancer Institute, where I worked with newly diagnosed cancer patients and helped explain clinical trial opportunities. I am excited to bring these experiences into my training and continue developing the skills needed to become a genetic counselor.
Outside of genetics, I enjoy exploring and spending time outdoors. I love to run, swim, and hike. One of my favorite adventures was traveling to northern Spain and walking 100 kilometers along the Camino de Santiago. I am incredibly excited to begin this next chapter as a student in the Master of Science in Genetic Counseling program at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
