Biography

Maddie Campbell joined MCW’s Center for Sustainability, Health and the Environment (SHE Center) as a Program Coordinator in September 2024, where she supports internally- and externally-engaged efforts in climate and health research and education as well as environmentally-conscious healthcare delivery. In October 2025, she joined Office of Global Health as a complement to SHE Center role. She has extensive experience in public health in the Milwaukee area, having previously worked in population health at a community health center and completed a Master's in Public Health, concentrating in environmental health, from UW-Milwaukee in 2024.

Maddie is interested in exploring how the dynamic relationship between humans and their environment varies between spaces and places. She completed her service with the Peace Corps in Tanzania, where she taught secondary school biology from 2018-2020. Maddie pursued undergraduate degrees in Microbiology and Spanish, with a certificate in Global Health, at UW-Madison. Outside of work, Maddie enjoys traveling, reading, exploring restaurants, and staying active through activities like running, volleyball, and rock climbing.
